Product Description
Brown C- 20 is a concentrated liquid that develops reddish-brown color tones on Copper, Brass & Bronze at room temperature. Brown C- 20 is used primarily for decorative purposes to produce light reddish-brown to dark brown finishes.
Procedures:
Parts should be free of grease, alkalinity or acidity when immersed in Brown C-20. Clean the part with Cleaner 104. Rinse thoroughly with water. Immerse pieces in Brown C-20 for the time necessary to achieve the desired color. For small parts, stainless steel or plastic baskets should be used and often simple tumbling is sufficient. Rinse thoroughly with over flowing cold water, to stop chemical reaction. The finish is easily achieved by brushing or by mechanical polishing to produce a variety of antique finishes. To produce a uniformly colored finish, tumble or vibrate the parts in sawdust. Large pieces can be wiped dry or buffed. It is recommended that a lacquer (e.g. WSL-55 or AL-70) be applied to the coating to provide maximum life.
