Product Description
This is a unique formula designed to develop a Pewter Look deposit on Copper, Brass & Bronze and their alloys by immersion or spray application. This solution is a non-cyanide liquid developed to work at room temperature. It is widely used on lighting fixtures, lamps, sculptures, hardware, gift items and furniture. The surface will not chip, flake or peel.
Procedures:
Clean the parts with Cleaner 104. Rinse with water and dry. Apply Pewter Look solution with a cloth, brush or dip for 5-10 seconds; apply more than once if necessary. If parts are originally bright, a greyish, pewter deposit will develop. Rinse the surface with water or a sponge and wipe dry. If the parts are to be given a dark Pewter look, first darken the parts in Black C-22 antique (as per the instructions) for 30 seconds to 1 minute, followed by fresh water rinse and dry. Highlight the part with steel wool, steel brush or a buffing wheel. Clean again and dry. It is recommended to protect the finish with a clear lacquer (e.g., WSL-55 or AL-70).
