Product Description
Violet C-15 is a concentrated liquid to develop a Reddish violet/purplish color tone on Copper, Brass & Bronze at room temperature and is used for decoration purposes only.
Procedures:
Parts must be free of grease, alkaline or acids when immersed in Violet C-15 solution. Clean the part with Cleaner 104. Rinse thoroughly with water. Immerse pieces in Violet C-15 for the time necessary to achieve the desired color. For small parts, stainless steel or plastic baskets should be used and often, simple tumbling is enough. Rinse thoroughly with over flowing cold water, to stop the chemical reaction. The finish is easily achieved by brushing or by mechanical polishing to produce a variety of antique finishes. To produce a uniformly colored finish, tumble or vibrate the parts in sawdust. Large pieces can be wiped dry or buffed. It is recommended that a clear water base lacquer (e.g. WSL-55 or AL-70) be applied to the coating to provide maximum life.
